During 2007, WODYS has almost doubled the number of youngsters it caters for by starting an academy, known as WODAC. It primarily caters for youngsters who have been unsuccessful in passing an audition to become a full WODYS member.
There is a limit of 35 people, who participate in Saturday afternoon workshops that run from January to July each year, culminating in a production at the rehearsal room for relatives and guardians.
Workshops include dance, movement, acting, improvisation, singing, drama and general theatre craft. In addition, youngsters are also helped in building their confidence and skills in readiness for auditions later in the year.
